Adult Acne Remedy – A Comprehensive 3-Step Plan
Are you just sick of dealing with your grown-up acne problems? Looking for an effective adult acne remedy?
Well, you’re definitely not alone. Some 20% of women between the ages of 25 and 40 years old suffer from acne. That’s 1 in 5! Adult acne breakouts affect both women and men, but are much more common in women – usually due to hormonal reasons.
While many acne treatments just leave you with irritated skin and more acne, we’re here to show you a fully comprehensive acne treatment system that is based off of scientific studies and has been proven in the form of several commercially-successful methods. However, these products you see on infomercials are inferior in some ways to this adult acne remedy, because they are designed more to be marketed effectively than to be an successful treatment for the masses. If you suffer from mild adult acne, take a look at this three step method for a simple acne treatment system.
Step 1. Cleanse the face without causing irritation.
We all know that oil and dead skin cells clog up pores and lead to breakouts, so wash your face 2 to 3 times per day to avoid giving these pore-clogging substances time to cause trouble. Choosing a non-pore clogging cleanser appropriate for your skin type (oily, dry, combination, etc.) is always best if you want to follow the adult acne remedy perfectly. If a manufacturer makes a “sensitive skin” version of their cleanser, always opt for that, even if you don’t have sensitive skin. The only difference between those cleansers and the regular ones is that they don’t use irritating ingredients.
When washing your face, use extremely gentle pressure. Your fingers should be gliding over the surface of your skin, not scrubbing it. Also, don’t wash your face for too long. Simply splash your face once to rinse it, lather up some cleanser between your hands, quickly and gently apply to the face, and splash water on it to rinse it off). Pat your skin dry with a clean, dry towel.
Step 2. Wait 10 minutes for your skin to completely dry.
You want to make sure there is no moisture remaining on your skin or in the pores for the next step in this adult acne remedy. When your skin is adequately dry, apply a benzoyl peroxide solution to the skin. 10% is what’s sold in most stores but if you use a lower dose, such as 5% of 2.5%, it will be less irritating and sometimes more effective. Don’t overdo it though, a thin layer of medication is best.
Step 3. Moisturize
Wait another 5 or 10 minutes for your skin to dry and apply a light, oil-free moisturizer to your face. This will keep your skin from drying out and becoming irritated which is a critical component in any good adult acne remedy. Again, remember to be incredibly gentle when rubbing in the moisturizer.
Repeat this simple method each day and you should be well on your way to controlling your adult acne.
